We had another wildly successful session at the Elkins Park Library today. 11 kids came to learn all about disease research and epidemiology with Dr. Megan O'Brien, and they brought lots of very insightful questions! Dr. O'Brien talked about her journey in getting from high school though multiple schools and cities to land where is is now, working at Merck. She talked about how research is conducted and had a fun activity for the kids. They did their own research project to determine the average age of the participants. They made a hypothesis, gathered data, and analyzed the results. They did a great job!
